Get the eggs at the ready and enjoy some eggcellent fun with our great list of things to do at Easter.
If you really want to be brave and try it with fresh or boiled eggs then feel free but I like using a ball with a normal dessert spoon. Depending on the age of your children you can choose the size of the ball to make it fair for the little ones. To make it a bit harder for the big ones you can also get them to hop on one leg between the start and finish line!
We all know that bunnies like carrots! Hide lots of carrots around your garden or house, as well as an extra special golden carrot! You need to bring as many carrots as possible back to the bunny’s Easter basket for the bunny to have a nice lunch! The winner is the one to find the golden carrot and / or the most carrots!
A take on the traditional sack race. Don’t worry if you don’t have a hessian sack, just use a pillow case!
Pop two part fillable Easter eggs into an egg box. Number them up and on the week leading up to Easter, open one each day. Put a small gift, piece of a jigsaw puzzle or chocolate inside each one!
This one takes a little more preparation! Paint a bunny face onto a cardboard box and at the bottom cut a hole for its mouth. Roll small balls or half blown balloons into the bunny’s mouth
Everyone has a bunny soft toy or a Spring animal in their soft toy collection. Bunny can join the adult to take turns to either hide or find the children!
You can print a template of the Mumbler Pin the Tail on the Bunny here. The bunny’s tail could be some cotton wool, scrunched up tissue paper or a fluffy pom pom from the craft box. Cover the eyes of the person trying to stick the tail on the bunny!
Run around the house to find objects that spell out ‘Easter Egg’ or the letter ‘E’.
A take on noughts and crosses. Draw and cut out counters of bunnies and eggs and divide between each player.
Hide two part fillable Easter eggs around your house and / or garden. Each egg will have a clue that will lead you to the next egg and we usually have the final egg as a chocolate Easter Egg!
Some example clues … Where do we put dirty clothes?, Your toy trains are kept in this place, You put these on your feet to go outside, Where are your outdoor toys kept? You can use our Easter Egg Hunt Clues HERE
