Bubwith Tennis Club is a friendly, village tennis club near to the East Yorkshire/North Yorkshire border. Set in the grounds of Bubwith Leisure and Sports Centre, the club has three artificial grass courts which offer tennis throughout the year.
Whether you are just starting out with the sport, or if you have been playing tennis for years, you will be made to feel welcome at Bubwith.
Families can take advantage of a great value membership option, which is available from couples up to large families without limit. Whereas children of primary school age and their parents/guardians (if they only wish to play tennis with their children) can join free of charge. There is also a low-cost junior member option.
Members can make us of the club’s supply of tennis rackets (various sizes) and tennis balls, including balls specifically for younger players. Coaching is available for children starting at the age of 4 and there are often tennis camps for juniors during school holidays (there is an additional charge for coaching and camps).
For adults, there is the opportunity to play competitive league tennis with mixed, men’s and ladies’ doubles teams featuring in the York leagues at various levels. There are also various events promoting social play.
Whilst it is predominantly a members’ club, there is the facility for non-members to use the club’s West Court for a small fee.
There is a car park on-site, with a children’s play area next to the courts. The small clubhouse provides toilet facilities.
