While our Mini Mumblers adore receiving their Christmas Eve boxes, there should be no pressure to do a box. That said, we know it’s something that some of our Mumblers are wanting to try, so we thought we’d put together some ideas and inspiration to give you a helping hand. Perhaps you hang stockings instead? Any items on the list below could also act as stocking fillers.
Firstly, grab a box, it really can be any kind. An old cardboard box decorated with paper, a gift box, or a personalised Christmas box (you only have to google ‘Christmas Eve box’ and you’ll find hundreds you can buy) How and when you give it to them is completely up to you, it’s the Elves who tap at our door and we send the little ones to open it. We explain that Santa can’t bring it as he is so busy loading the sleigh at the North Pole, but he sends his Elves instead to deliver it and have one last check that you’re being good.
Whatever you get up to on Christmas Eve, we hope you have a super time. Here’s wishing you and your family a wonderful Christmas and fantastic New Year.

You’ll be welcomed into Santa’s Grotto at our Boatyard, hidden underneath the beautiful Lendal Bridge in the centre of York. As you enter, your Captain will check that children are on the special VIP guestlist we receive from Lapland.
Don’t worry if you are bringing a pushchair, you’ll be able to park it in the safety of our Reindeer Pen!
Once on board, you’ll be greeted warmly by one of Santa’s good friends, who will show you to your reserved seating, ready for our magical departure! Santa doesn’t let us say too much more about what happens next, as that would spoil the magic, but we can guarantee that Santa Claus himself will find his way aboard and the whole family will have the most wonderful time on board!

The highly-anticipated Harrogate Ice Rink returns to Crescent Gardens for the second year in a row; running alongside the Harrogate Christmas Fayre from 1st December and remaining open until 7th January 2024.
This festive favourite will be bigger and better than ever before, hosting not only a bigger ice rink, but an outdoor bar, a cosy sheltered tipi, funfair rides including a carousel and bungee trampolines, and a Yorkshire Wrap food stall – vegetarian and vegan options available.
