Why do we host meet ups?
Finding the courage to attend a parent and child group (particularly as a new parent) can be really tough. Who will be there? Will anyone chat to me? are all thoughts we know many parents and carers have, this is why we host meet ups. At each event you’ll find the STAG Mumbler Team (in our purple hoodies) so you have the choice to come along and simply enjoy the benefit of 1/2 price play, alternatively, if you fancy a natter and a cuppa while your mini mumbler plays, then you can come and sit with us. We love meeting our mumblers face to face.

The STAG Mumbler Toy Exchange
We’ll also be using our meet-ups as an opportunity to host a toy exchange. We all know how quickly children seem to grow out of their toys, but it can expensive buying new ones, this is why we have the toy exchange. We’ll come along with our baskets of pre-loved toys and you can bring along yours. Leave yours with us (for someone else to swap) and help yourself to something new to take home. Perhaps you’re a parent who’s struggling financially….no problem at all, simply take a toy, there’s no need to swap it with one of your own. There’s no need to feel guilty, we all have times when things can be tight, perhaps at some point in the future, you’ll have the opportunity to donate. Raising children can be expensive, so the more we can help each other, the better.
Craft Corner or Local Business Showcase
Each meet up we also have either a lovely local business showcasing what they have to offer, or a mini craft station where we bring along our special box of crafts and let our Mini Mumblers get creative with something to take home. We’ve had some beautiful cards and paintings done over the last few events.
