Review Post A post written by our team about a product or service that we have reviewed. If we have been given the product or service for free we will always disclose this and we will always give an honest opinion. The Mumbler blog contains a mixture of both review blogs that we have received a product/service for free and those that we have simply come across and love!
Sponsored Post This is a blog post where we have been paid to write about a certain subject and post it on the blog or where the company or individual writes their own or publishes their poster etc. Often this will include a link to the product or service off the Mumbler website. We will only publish sponsored blogs about products and services that we feel that we can genuinely recommend and that are appropriate for the local parenting market. We’ll always label this as sponsored content.
Competitions Mumblers love a competitions and we are happy to promote them for you as long as they are suited to the parenting market. There may be a small admin fee for competitions. Please e-mail [email protected] if you’d like to run a competition with our audience.
We closely vet the companies and service providers who approach York Mumbler and regularly turn down all sorts of things because we don’t like the company, the product, or don’t agree with the brand’s ethos, or don’t think it’s relevant to my Mumbler audience or even if it doesn’t “feel” right (yes, we are that vague). Whenever we do talk about a brand or a product, it’s because we genuinely like it and think that the Mumblers might too. We are always honest, we won’t recommend someone or something if they are secretly a bit rubbish- even if we do get a free meal out of it!
