Today we had the opportunity to watch a Water Babies class and we wanted to share with you all, why we think they’ve got the “wow factor”.
From the moment our Mini Mumbler entered the water, he was so excited. Each class is packed full of fun, blended perfectly with teaching little ones how to swim and how to be and feel safe in the water.
Teacher Hayley is just amazing and such a breath of fresh air, she has so much energy and enthusiasm, it’s infectious. Despite having several little ones in the water, she treats each and every one as a VILP (Very Important Little Person). Occasionally there will be a little one who has a bit of a wobble, they might be trying something new or be at a part where, for whatever reason, they feel a little uneasy. It would be so easy for her to simply advise that they can sit this section out, but she doesn’t, she immediately thinks of a creative and different way to do the same section but in a way that might make them feel a little more at ease. It’s amazing to watch, in one moment there’s a little one looking anxious and as if there is no way they are going to join in and within seconds, doing it in a slightly different way, there they are splashing and giggling.
It’s incredible to watch just how much they cram into 30 minutes and at the end of the class my mouth is aching from all the smiling. It was wonderful to sit and watch my little boy having so much fun and learning new things, but it was made extra special watching the fun my husband was having, spending quality time together.
We just can’t recommend Water Babies enough and while we attended a York class today, the team are now offering classes in Selby, enabling even more of our STAG members to attend.
You can always enquire about taster sessions and if you sign up and mention STAG Mumbler, you’ll even get a free swim nappy worth £10.99.
