When a major event such as the Tour de Yorkshire comes to town lots of people are inspired to hop on their bikes. To build a legacy from this, a brand new Community Cycle Hub is about to be launched.
On Saturday (4 May) in Selby Park the Selby Community Cycle Hub will be officially launched by Selby Leisure Centre and Inspiring Healthy Lifestyles.
Between 10am and 3pm, there’ll be a host of free activities including music, balance bikes, pop up sports, arts and crafts – and lots more. There’ll be something for everyone to get involved with and everyone is welcome to come down and join the fun.
There’ll also be guided rides as part of the launch. So if you’re already a competent cyclist and have access to a bike and helmet, you can register to take part – visit www.britishcycling.co.uk and search for a ride near Selby to secure your place.
