Queen Ethelburga’s Collegiate (QE) is a co-ed independent day and boarding school for ages 3 months to 19 years that is set within over 220 acres of beautiful North Yorkshire countryside between York and Harrogate. It provides boarding for Years 3-13 and offers our day students an extensive bus service throughout Yorkshire covering areas including Leeds, Doncaster, Wakefield, Easingwold and Northallerton. QE has four schools onsite; Chapter House Prep School (Nursery to Year 5), King’s Magna Middle School (Years 6-9), QE College (Years 10-13) and QE Faculty (Years 10-13).
Our academically-focused, QE College, was ranked 2nd nationally in the Sunday Times Parent Power 2023 for A Level Performance and is a Times Top 20 School. It is the Top School in the North for Overall Academic Performance for a third year in a row. Meanwhile, QE Faculty is the 7th highest ranking northern school for academic performance (A Level, BTEC and GCSE) and offers a bespoke curriculum with options to suit all learning styles and abilities.
The whole QE community warmly invites you to one of our upcoming Whole School Open Mornings on our beautiful Thorpe Underwood Estate campus in North Yorkshire. Join us for a tour, sample educational activities, hear from students and staff, ask questions and gain an overall in-depth insight into our Excellent-rated (ISI) schools and our community.
After the tour, you will have additional time to talk to our academic and admissions staff in The Atrium, where you can also enjoy a light lunch.
