Spills – Candle Wax: Don’t panic! Let the wax go hard and them scrape off what you can with a knife. Place a brown paper bag over the top of the wax and iron onto the bag, which should then soak up the wax. If the surface that the wax is on isn’t suitable for an iron, try the same process put using a hairdryer instead. If the item can be moved, eg a tablecloth, instead place a towel onto an ironing board, place the waxed item on top of the towel, then the paper bag, then gently iron on a cool heat.
Spills – Red wine: Don’t panic! Blot as much of the wine as you can with kitchen roll. Sprinkle the stain with plenty of Bicarbonate of soda and allow to try thoroughly, you should see the bicarb drawing the wine out and changing colour. Once dry, vacuum.
