Here at STAG Mumbler, we are always keen to hear your recommendations for great days out. From soft play centres to the great outdoors, from woodland walks to farms, we want to hear about them all. If you have any to recommend, simply drop us an email telling us all about them at firstname.lastname@example.org
It’s nearly that time again, these holidays do seem to come around so quick (perhaps not quick enough for our mumbler teachers!). Filling the time can be hard, as can finding new and exciting things to do, while watching those pennies. Here at STAG, we thought we’d try and help make it a little easier for you and offer you some inspiration.
Check out our STAG Mumbler – May Half Term Special here
It’s never too late to tell us about great local events, clubs or groups. So if you’re heading somewhere great this half term, do let us know about it at email@example.com and we’ll make sure we add it for other mumblers to see.
Why do we host meet ups?
Finding the courage to attend a parent and child group (particularly as a new parent) can be really tough. Who will be there? Will anyone chat to me? are all thoughts we know many parents and carers have, this is why we host meet ups. At each event you’ll find the STAG Mumbler Team (in our purple hoodies) so you have the choice to come along and simply enjoy the benefit of 1/2 price play, alternatively, if you fancy a natter and a cuppa while your mini mumbler plays, then you can come and sit with us. We love meeting our mumblers face to face.
If you have any questions about the meet up, or would like to drop us a message to say you’re coming so we can look out for you, please contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org. Booking is not necessary.
The STAG Mumbler Toy Exchange
We’ll also be using our meet-ups as an opportunity to host a toy exchange. We all know how quickly children seem to grow out of their toys, but it can expensive buying new ones, this is why we have the toy exchange. We’ll come along with our baskets of pre-loved toys and you can bring along yours. Leave yours with us (for someone else to swap) and help yourself to something new to take home. Perhaps you’re a parent who’s struggling financially….no problem at all, simply take a toy, there’s no need to swap it with one of your own. There’s no need to feel guilty, we all have times when things can be tight, perhaps at some point in the future, you’ll have the opportunity to donate. Raising children can be expensive, so the more we can help each other, the better.
Craft Corner or Local Business Showcase
Each meet up we also have either a lovely local business showcasing what they have to offer, or a mini craft station where we bring along our special box of crafts and let our Mini Mumblers get creative with something to take home. We’ve had some beautiful cards and paintings done over the last few events.
Embrace the fresh Yorkshire air and time together in this magical setting. Stockeld Park opens its beautiful parkland throughout the school holidays with fun for all the family including February, Easter, Spring, Summer, Halloween and Christmas events.
Take a walk in the Enchanted Forest and let the children (and adults!) burn off some energy in the Adventure Playgrounds. Whizz around the forest on Electric Scooters! Get lost in the big Yew Tree
Maze or try out your skills on the ice/roller skating rink – now under cover so you can get your skates on whatever the weather! (Ice/Roller – season dependant). There is Interactive Play, a huge Yew-Tree Maze and a Woodland Laser Tag arena too!
Fabulous events such as the Circus, Concerts, and Interactive Themed Workshops take place throughout the year, suitable for kids of all ages. Finish off your visit to the delicious café and gift shop.
